Anyone wanting to enter into this profession needs to understand a humanistic and artistic approach to design. They will need to possess the skill to translate a design into a workable landscape. They will usually be required to hold a degree in landscape architecture. An undergraduate degree is usually sufficient to get started, however, a graduate-level degree will provide for better opportunities to advance. There are 2 degrees that’s an undergraduate can pursue and whichever they choose will generally take 5 years to complete.
A masters degree can be pursued by someone who holds an undergraduate degree in the field. There is a second professional degree of the MLA that takes only two years whereas the previous one takes 3 years.
